This was the best meal of our weeklong stay in SMA! Our server Mireya was so professional and warm, and the ambiance was lovely. The food was outstanding. Several friends recommended it, but it exceeded our expectations. Do not miss this restaurant! We’ve traveled the world and this was one of our favorite meals ever!

Excellent meal and service. Absolutely loved the creativity and flavors of the dishes experienced. The lamb was some of the best I’ve had for sure. The zucchini flowers were mind-blowing. Would recommend this place as both a culinary destination and the best place to get Greek food in SMA, hands down.

Bocaciega is a very impressive Mediterranean restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our courses starting with a complimentary Jojoque and Aioli-inspired creme fraisch, very fresh Fattoush Salad and Tempura dipped Zucchini Blissoms. Our entrees were a wonderful rack of lamb with pesto and sweet potato puree, and a delicious plate of frilled octopus. We loved it all so much that we added dessert - flan with sweet cream drizzled with caramel sauce. The setting was very comfortable. Our server Mireya took great care of us and was excellent. The gerente/manager Jorge made us feel very comfortable immediately and suggested a great Mexican Cabernet Franc that we loved. We will be back!

We just had the most delicious lunch here! Everything was beautifully plated and delicious! Creative pairings as well. The restaurant itself is beautiful and Omar was an incredible server. We contemplated going back for dinner because it was one of the best meals we have had in San Miguel

Dimly lit, comfortable seating, with limited tables, reservations recommended. The food was artistically presented and tasted just as good as it looked. I had the Middle Eastern Fattoush salad, a huge portion with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. Their house-made cocktails and fresh juices are incredible. U.S. standard prices, above Mexican prices. Great service. We were there celebrating a birthday, note that the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays.

What an amazing dinner and experience tonight from the complimentary pita bread to the Seabass entree, it was delish. The portion sizes are more like tapas — so get multiple dishes for the table. The service was on point. Erik, our mesero, was a true delight. The ambiance is perfect for a Date Night! Would highly recommend!

Bocaciega is one of my favorite restaurants in San Miguel de Allende. And I always enjoy it. But I was surprised at my most recent visit. I was presented with a vegan menu with many options on it. As a person who does not eat animal products, I know I need to carefully read every description carefully to try to ensure I won't find dairy or eggs or even meat hidden in a dish. But this menu was a game changer. I could choose any item from it with the confidence that the restaurant had done the work for me. My waiter, Erik, is always a delight and didn't fail to bring a smile to my face again. He's a charmer. The other surprise was a saxophone player who came in and played some good jazz standards from 8:00 to 8:30. Like so many musicians here, he was quite good and entertaining. I am happy to recommend Bocaciega to tourists and residents alike.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant, and the octopus was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was incredibly fresh, with a perfect char that gave it just the right amount of texture and crunch. Every bite was absolutely delicious. The staff really went above and beyond, especially after we got lost and arrived late. They were so accommodating, kind, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was also stunning—such a pretty aesthetic that made the entire experience feel special. Overall, a fantastic meal with excellent service in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!
